We are a machine shop in precision machining business since 1967. We are supported with a foundry with our minority holding. Kalapi has 2 separate facilities for production components and prototype custom-made manufacturing. The total premise of our company is 40,000 sq feet with a covered area of 4,250 sq feet. Our sister concern is a specialized shaft manufacturing facility. We mostly serve OEM's in pumps, motor and medical industry where tolerance levels and repeatability are very critical. Some of our Customers have awarded us Direct on Line Supplier status DOL (Components directly on assembly line without inspection). Kalapi has estabilished systems like Kanban and customer managed inventory. The company is ISO 9002-2000 registered with exports to Europe, USA, Canada, UK and Mexico. PLANT DETAILS : Precision Machining Capabilities. Job sizes as small as 5mm in dia with Cylindrical and center-less grinding and lapping wherever required. Tolerances achieved are upto 0.01mm (0.0003") on diameters, flatness concentricity. Heat treatment with complex cycles including nitriding available. Materials machined are alloy steels, stainless steels, die steels and aluminum alloys. Jobs upto 400kgs weight can be machined in-house. Materials machined are Carbon steels, Grey Irons, Stainless Steels including Duplex and Super Duplex steels and Hastelloy with all Hi nickel steels. We have a dedicated gauges room with calibration records of individual instrument and third party audits. Our customers also conduct surveillance audits on our facilities. Heat Treatment - including Induction Hardening, Carburizing, stress reliving Passivation etc. Electro and Electroless Plating- including anodizing and metal spray - Indian Defence approved facility. Coating - Teflon, nonmetals, special corrosion and wear resistant. Spline and gear hobbing. Wire cut and Electro-discharge machining with VMC facilities.
