Astro Met, Inc. is a full service global manufacturer of advanced ceramic components. Materials include alumina, ziconia, zirconia toughened alumina and Macor machinable glass ceramic. Application focus includes but is not limited to wear, corrosion, thermal, electrical and biomedical applications. Both prototype and production quantities supplied. All classes of tolerance requirements are provided ranging from as-fired tolerances of +/-0.015" or +/- 1% whichever is greater to precision machined tolerances of +/-0.0001". All components provided are custom manufactured to customer drawing and or specification. Also a contract service supplier of cold isostatic pressing (CIPing), hot isostatic pressing (HIPing), sintering (firing) up to 3000°F and precision machining (diamond grinding) of customer supplied advanced ceramic materials.
