- In addition to machining all of the common materials (Steels, Aluminum, Brass), Miller MFG specializes in the production of Machining UHMW Plastic, a notoriously difficult material to machine. This plastic is popular for applications where abrasion resistance is key, however it is considered a soft plastic that creates burrs and makes it challenging to maintain tolerances. We have created a unique approach to these issues, which allows us to machine parts from UHMW plastic efficiently and consistently. The outcome is UHMW parts that are cost effective for our customers.
