Hunt’s focus on first-class products, dependable service and on-time delivery is embedded in the Company’s culture. Its ISO-certified manufacturing processes are highly efficient, and allow the Company to integrate sales, order fulfillment, inventory control, manufacturing, and shipping. Its engineering and operations personnel are fluent in its customers’ unique requirements and hold in-depth knowledge of its products. The experienced and skilled management team has over 150 years of combined experience in the industry.

Hunt engineers and manufactures a comprehensive line of filtration and cooling accessories for most brands of high-horsepower drilling motors and generators at its manufacturing facility in Houston. Products include air cleaners, closed-loop cooling systems, heavy-duty blower assemblies, air filters, spark and particle arrestors, breakwater cooling systems and other motor accessories; and are marketed under the Company’s brands, AirCure™, MotoKool, AirDyne™, UniDyne, SparkCure and MotoKleen. Its products are durable, highly reliable, and have low maintenance requirements.

Additionally, Hunt offers custom-designed brake water cooling systems, junction boxes, air outlet ducts, and motor heaters. Hunt largely produces a standardized line of products that are configured to customer needs. Although these products represent most of its systems, the Company is regularly asked to engineer custom systems to fit a unique application or environment. Hunt also provides airflow performance testing and sound attenuation services in cases of noise restrictions.

Facilities

Hunt’s production facilities and offices are located on a 2.7-acre site in southwest Houston, Texas. Hunt’s well-equipped fabrication and assembly space includes over 14,000 sq. ft. of production area under a 10-ton bridge crane supporting two 5-ton trolleys, a 5,500 sq. ft. area for painting and additional assembly, with a 5,070 sq. ft. warehouse for storage of components, parts and materials. In addition, the Company has approximately 6,000 sq. ft. of office space.

Manufacturing - Operations

Hunt’s manufacturing operations are executed in a highly efficient production flow process. The mature quality management system is validated by ISO 9001 certification, ensuring its products and services consistently meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.

Hunt actively tracks its production and inventory levels. The Company manages future purchases of inventory, tracking all interactions with its vendors including purchase requests and purchase orders. The operations manager controls the production schedule and priorities at all stages of the manufacturing process, including material usage and labor utilization rates. Hunt operates a single 8-hour day shift, managing overtime as necessary to meet delivery deadlines.

Fabrication - Welding

Hunt’s fabrication team have over 145 years of combined experience, working on both structural and sheet metal fabrication and welding. Numerous fabrication jigs and fixtures have been designed and implemented over the decades to drive uniformity and reduced cycle times in the fitting and welding phases.

Our welders are certified to the AWS D1.1 structural welding code and can certify to other codes as projects require. We utilize both MIG, TIG, and SMAW welding and work with a wide range of materials from .030” to 2” thick. Records are maintained to prove the qualification of procedures for MIG, TIG, SMAW, as well as qualifications of welders. Calibration records are also maintained as part of the quality management systems, ensuring the welding equipment meets the manufacture specifications.

We manufacture custom metal components including compression springs, torsion springs, extension springs, wire forms, flat springs and assemblies for a wide range of markets including oil and gas, chemical, medical, agricultural, automotive, aerospace, lawn and garden, recreational, chemical, refining, electronics, robotics, marine and high-tech, and food services, just to name a few.

Lewis Engineering Company is a family owned machine shop located in Marshall, Texas. Since 1961 we have supplied various industries with quality metal components. Lewis Engineering operates out of a 50,000 square foot facility and currently employs 40 people. Sterling Engineering & Fabrication, Inc. was founded in 1998 by Brian Stinson. Since the beginning, we have firmly believed that quality, competitive pricing, on-time deliveries and excellent customer service are all equally important, and strive to be the best source for custom steel fabrication for our customers.

We are showcasing our new Fiber Laser equipment. The 6KW machine is very fast, highly accurate, and produces an unparalleled edge quality. The machine can process up to 1" thick carbon steel, 7/8" thick stainless steel and aluminum, and a variety of other materials. Complimenting the Laser, our CNC Press Brake has a 13' maximum bending length and 200 tons of bending force.

In addition to our Laser and Press Brake services, we also conduct structural steel, stainless steel, aluminum and exotic alloy fabrication. All of our work is performed by professionally-trained welders in accordance with American Welding Society and American Society of Mechanical Engineering standards. Each job is carefully inspected on site and must pass our strict quality control procedures before leaving our facility.

With our experience we transfer the usual production tasks to more efficient technological operations.

Walter Tool has been providing precision CNC machining services to the industry since 1977. We currently have an inspection system traceable to NIST and are working towards ISO certification. Our machining capabilities include CNC Turning up to 8-axis, CNC Swiss type Turning up to 6-axis, CNC Horizontal machining up to 3-axis and CNC Vertical machining up to 4-axis. We specialize in short runs and production runs with many operations and close tolerance machining.

CNC Turning: Our CNC lathes are equipped with 4 to 8 axis and live tools. Bar capacity is 2.5" Chucking capacity is 8" with a maximum turning length of 22" between centers. Multi-sided machining can be completed in a single setup reducing handing costs. Parts with close relational tolerances will benefit from fewer setups.

CNC Swiss-Style Turning: Our Swiss-style CNC lathes our equipped with 3 to 10 axis and live tools. Bar capacity is 1.25" Multi-sided machining can be completed in a single setup reducing handing costs. Parts with close relational tolerances will benefit from fewer setups. We are suited for both short and long length parts.

CNC Horizontal Milling: 3 axis CNC horizontal machining. Dual 1° indexing pallets for continuous operation. Machining capacity is a 20" cube. Multi-sided machining can be completed in a single setup reducing handing costs. Parts with close relational tolerances will benefit from fewer setups.

CNC Vertical Milling: 3 to 4 axis CNC vertical machining. Dual pallets for continuous operation or standard table for shorter runs. Machining travels up to 30" x 18" x 18" Tool magazine capacities up to 30 tools. Rotary 4th axis for multi-sided machining or special contours.

McCabe's Mechanical Services Inc. is a family owned and operated business. Magnum Machining was started in January 2003, with a vision of building complex multi dimensional parts as a core business. Hard work and dedicated people helped to bring Magnum to a Class A CNC machining facility that machines virtually any material and under many degrees of complexity. Sumrall Manufacturing has over 100 years combined experience in the oil field and medical manufacturing industries. In the early 1980s, Noel Sumrall formed a company he called N&N Machine Shop, and throughout the years, his entire family has worked for the company in one capacity or another. In the early 2000s, Noel created another company, Sumrall Manufacturing with the intention of branching out into other areas of manufacturing.
