Imperial Casting Co., Inc. Quality Alloy Iron Casting FACTS ABOUT IMPERIAL CASTING COMPANY The Imperial Casting Company is a closed corporation owned and operated by Phillip O. Street, President, Brian I. Parasiliti, Vice President and Head of Engineering, Carl Parasiliti, General Manager/Secretary-Treasurer. Imperial Casting Company was founded in 1970 and since that time we have seen several expansions and modernization programs. At the present time we employ about 50 people in our organization. We produce class 20 to class 35 gray and alloyed iron casting ranging in size from ½ pound to 400 pounds. Molten iron is produced in two state of the art three ton computer controlled coreless induction furnaces. The iron is constantly monitored for temperature and chemistry on our Digi Lab dip-tip and tech-tip thermal analysis device. Molds are produced on a Hunter 10E 14" X 19", 20C 20" X 24", 32C 30" X 32"automatic match plate molding machine with a Hunter turntable mold handling system; jolt squeeze machine, one 3161 Osborn Rota-Lift, one 3191-16 Rota-Lift and one production bench molding station. The molding line is supported by a state of the art overhead sand preparation, delivery system and an eight station pallet line to convey the molds to the pouring station. We are capable of producing molds from 12" X 12" to 18" X 30" with various cope/drag configurations on the jolt squeeze machines, 18" X 18" to 24" X 26" with various cope/drag configurations on the 3161 Rota-Lift, 18" X 60" to 30" X 36" on the 3191-16 Rota-Lift and 18" X 96" 4 ½ /4 ½ on the production bench molding station. We also have side floor molding capabilities in steel tight flasks. The core room at Imperial Casting Company is well equipped and efficient utilizing the shell process and the no-bake air-set system. The shell core department is capable of producing small pin cores up to the more complex and large cores weighing up to 60 lbs. Our list of shell core machines include the Redford and HP-43 automatic, a two station Harrison 10 X 16 Ga fully automatic, 18 X 18 two station Harrison GA fully automatic; two station Harrison 24 X 24 fully automatic, BP SF6 Auto, Dependable 100S M, and two dependable 400SA core machines for the very large cores. We also operated three shelltruder core extruding machines daily to produce seamless cores from 6" to 78" long for our thermocouple protection tube line and custom core work. In the no-bake air-set department we produce low volume cores in wood, plastic or metal boxes with core weights from one ounce to 175 lbs. The chemically bonded sand is mixed in a Palmer 100 lbs. per minute auger mixer using a two part system. Our new Tinker Omega 300 lbs. per minute mixer was installed in June 2008 to produce large molds on our no bake molding line.
