Our automated processes and world-class machine tools ensure consistent product quality, while our commitment to continuous employee development provides stability in product quality and process integrity. Our in-house quality lab has measuring capabilities to the sub-micron level; as our founder always says, "If you can't measure it, you can't make it!" We offer superior machining, assembly, and product testing services through frequent and purposeful customer engagement. Our in-house engineering team offers hands-on technical support throughout your product's life cycle, participating in design for manufacturability and continuous improvement initiatives as required. With this system, each component is designed with quality and ease-of-production in mind, ultimately saving resources across the entire value chain. LaGrange Electrical Assemblies was incorporated in 1970 and began operations in LaGrange, Ohio in 1971. We have been manufacturing Power Supply Cords, Wire Harnesses and Finished Lead Wires for the major appliance industry for over 30 years. We started with 6000 square feet and 6 employees. Today, the manufacturing facility has grown to over 40,000 square feet and L.E.A. has between 80 and 110 employees. The company has won numerous awards for service and quality--highlighted when, as a result of shipping 1,300,000 power supply cords without a single defect, Frigidaire named L.E.A. the Gehling award winner--given to the supplier producing the highest quality of ANY purchased part. We have 8 Ampomators, 7 Komax, 6 Artos cutting machines, and a Schleuniger that give us the capacity to cut, strip, and terminate over 1,000,000 wires a day. We use SPC effectively to improve quality, but our newest Komax Equipment automatically checks each termination as it is made. We are EDI capable and barcode to automotive and other standards. We keep a huge inventory of wire and terminals to keep customer lead times short. Our inventory is kept accurate through computer-aided scheduling and JIT buying. Our sister company, American Wire & Cable Company, is our primary wire supplier. This assures our customers the best wire pricing and delivery available. We have good relationships with AMP/Tyco, Molex, ETC, and ETCO that enables us to get preferred terminal pricing. Often, we can combine customer volumes with our own to get even lower component pricing. We have over 300 applicators compatible with both our automatic cut/strip/terminate machines and our 40 benchtop presses. Historically, we catered to the major appliance industry. During the 1990s, we saw our business moving to Mexico where labor is cheap and a huge Mexican Government-backed wire harness manufacturer came to dominate ultra-high volume appliance harnesses. We began to seek new markets for products that needed our strategic abilities and skilled laborers. High quality and quick response is our base strength. Superior pricing on wire and components combined with highly sophisticated automatic cutting equipment along with 100% testing capabilities make us a very low-cost domestic supplier. Today we serve the HVAC, Telecommunications, and Food and Beverage Dispensing industries. Our customers' products are constantly changing, so we, as their supplier, must provide quick response, high quality, and competitive pricing--not simply a low price. Today, L.E.A. is big enough, with the latest technology and good pricing, to serve large customers, yet small enough to provide personal care, superior service and exceptional quality to every customer.
