Full Job Description

The ideal candidate will be quality oriented, familiar with a regulated environment (understands
quality/SOPs/continuous improvement), strong in critical thinking skills, a solid communicator,
someone with a growth mindset, detail oriented and able to handle multiple priorities/projects
simultaneously.

Maintain and monitor incoming quality control system to assure both custom and non-custom
parts received meet all drawing and or Purchase Order requirements.
 Monitor supplier performance and assist buyers in supplier selection.
 Maintain functional knowledge of critical requirements of purchased materials and perform
standard tests and measurements to assure compliance of materials used in manufacturing
products with consideration on or for past supplier performance, technical detail of
components, and supplier capability.
 Create and maintain a database of inspection skip lot items based on supplier performance,
method of manufacture, and critical function of components.
 Coordinate and maintain records for internal and external calibration master gauge data sheet
by working with internal staff and external service provider(s).
 Participate in regular DMR (Defective Material Review) meetings.
 Monitor and evaluate Supplier Corrective Actions as related to DMR actions. Interact with
suppliers to resolve problems as required.
 Initiate Engineering Change Orders as required to correct problems or issues identified in both
Incoming Inspection and DMR.
 Generate and update various documents (e.g. general specification, supplier survey and
cleaning procedure).
 Implement ongoing improvements in supplier packaging, labeling and delivery in order to
improve inventory control processes.
 Interact with suppliers to resolve drawing interpretation issues using the Deviation Approval
Form.
 Facilitate timely resolution of Supplier questions and problems by serving as a point of contact.
 Work with buyers as appropriate to effectively communicate issues and problems back to
suppliers.
 Proactively partner with manufacturing and service department teams to identifying problem
parts.
 Develop improvements to reduce materials and manufacturing costs and raise awareness in
assembly, service and engineering that reliability and quality are essential.
 Review newly released drawings and revised to ensure completeness and accuracy. Assure
the drawings comply with ANSI Y14.5.
 Understand multiple manufacturing processes, (sheet metal fabrication, custom machining,
injection molding, vacuum form process, plating and painting) are critical to reduce costs and
ensure manufacturability of materials designed and purchased.

Position Requirements:
2+ years degree or technical institute courses
 2+ years of relevant inspection experience.
 Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GDT).
 Experience and working knowledge of ESD protection per S20.20
 Working knowledge and certification for IPC 600, 610.
 Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
 Attention to detail.
 Excellent written and verbal communication
