This RFQ is an Informal Engineering Quote, to provide pricing guidance, on the machining of a casting. The vendor will supply the casting; hense, the casting information is provided. No commitment, and no PO will be generated for this RFQ. We are supplying Quotes to a potential customer, a tier 1 supplier, whom is working with an OEM; they also have no commitment as yet. The FOB is El Paso, TX. Our Site of manufacture will be Chihuahua, MX. Please quote the following volumes 40k, 100k, 250k, 1mil, per year, in monthly shipments. This is a new product, the lower volumes are initial year volumes. It isn’t our intentions to produce parts long term at the lower volumes. Assume a PPAP of 2006. Your time spent on quoting will be rewarded from us by making sure that your on our quote list for a formal quote, if and when that happens. Please expend the minimal of energy to provide a ballpark price. If you miss the quote date, don’t worry, submit your quote as soon after as you can. The MFGQuote date is the day before we must supply a quote on this specific design, to our potential customer. More designs may be posted in the future, to establish an “optimum cost” design.
