The supplier failed to deliver by agreed date and with zero updates or explanation; I asked, only to be told eventually that—incredibly—there wasn't suitable 6061 stock for qty 2 of a 2in×2in×1in part. They eventually promised a second shipping day (not delivery date) that they also missed. In a follow up call, Victor explained that all material he uses is traceable, but I found no proof of this accompanying the parts shipment. We verbally agreed on a third new ship day (again, not delivery day) which he missed again by two days. He also promised a next-day shipping method but instead used UPS 3 day. Still, the prototype parts showed up out of tolerance. After sending them back for rework, I eventually had parts in hand 34 days past the original delivery date. I do not recommend Zip Tool & Die for any services due to grave concerns about honesty and timeliness, as well as proven inability to deliver parts on time, let alone to spec.
