Pro-Fab Metals, Inc.

Tube Modification shop, Cable Assembly shop Kentucky, USA, Job Shop / Contract Manufacturer

Serving the needs of the industrial community since 1985, Pro-Fab Metals, Inc. has established itself in the sheet metal fabrication market as a strong company that produces amazing results. The company was purchased in 1985 by founders Mark Wetton and Winston Gill from the previous owners, Byrnes and Dorothy Clark. Wetton and Gill renamed the company (which was called Clark Welding Co.) G & W Welding, and continued production at the original location on the corner of Fifth and Morgan streets in Russellville, KY.

In October of 1986, Gill sold his share of the company to Wetton, after which it was promptly renamed Pro-Fab Metals, Inc. The company experienced consistent growth, and it was only a matter of time until Pro-Fab expanded. In 1990, Mark relocated the company to a larger facility on Franklin Road, keeping the company in Russellville. The new facility allowed impressive growth for the fledgling company, providing opportunities to begin serving large clients such as Arvin Meritor, Trane, Federal Mogul, and General Electric.

The success of Pro-Fab served as a launching point for the creation of several partner companies, beginning with Pro-Fab Metal, S.A. in 1997. Based in Saltillo, Mexico, it served as an extension to the Russellville plant, and further increased the now global reach of PFM.

Pro-Fab also allowed for the creation of another key company, Amtech LC. Also created in 1997, it exists as an extension of Pro-Fab's air filtration system production, and continues to design and produce the most advanced filter systems on the market. The company originally began under the roof of the Russellville Pro-Fab branch, but after experiencing considerable growth, built its own facility adjacent to Pro-Fab.

As the company passed its 20th anniversary of business, it expanded further opening a location in Owensboro, Kentucky. PFM began conducting business across the United States, throughout Mexico, and eventually in China. The international company has faced enormous challenges, and the recession that shut down many competitors only served to strengthen the resolve of the corporation.

After surviving the fluctuations of the economy, outlasting overseas competition - all while continuing to provide exceptional quality - Pro-Fab continues to prove itself a resilient company. With a litany of experience and a long list of satisfied customers, PFM can not only look back on a successful past, but look forward to a bright future.
