Macfab Manufacturing Inc., incorporated in 1987, is a Canadian company offering precision machining and manufacturing services to high technology, manufacturing, and mining sectors. We produce components ranging from scientific instruments, to specialized tooling, and even fasteners.Macfab’s proven ability to work with a wide range of plastics and metal alloys, complex and innovative designs, and short production runs has earned us a reputation as a quality manufacturer. We have the experience and expertise to produce precision components from the prototype stage through to routine production.

Our 25,000 square foot manufacturing facility, located in Mississauga, Ontario, offers a variety of CNC and manually operated machining and progressive punch stamping. These manufacturing technologies are supported by trained quality assurance personnel, CMM and computer enhanced microscopic measurement technologies.

CNC Machining
To produce your innovative and complex designs, Macfab employs some of the industries most advanced CNC machines. From multi-spindle, and 7-axis lathes to highly capable CNC milling machines. We have an established reputation for working with complex designs and tight tolerances, even on parts less than .200″ (5 mm) in length.

Time is money! In today’s global market, reduced cost and high quality mean success. We use the high performance capabilities of these machines along with leading-edge CAD/CAM software to reduce the cost of manufacturing while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Manual/Prototype Machining
Typically, before you can go to production you need to make a few prototypes or short runs. Macfab has the facilities for this too. We have a complete manual machining section for prototypes, short runs, modifications and repairs.

Our staff are highly experienced. All our manual lathes and mills are fitted with high precision, digital scales to increase productivity and quality.

Cleaning and Clean Room Assembly
Macfab is proud to now offer specialized part cleaning and clean room assembly services. Our cleaning and assembly services provide a time and cost savings to our clients. Your products can now arrive at your location cleaned and assembled, ready for distribution or final assembly. This can reduce the lead time to manufacture, handling costs and the number of vendors that you have to deal with to get your components.

We can provide various cleaning methods including Macfab’s own, proprietary, ultrasonic cleaning and passivation techniques. Your products can then be packaged or assembled in our clean room.

Macfab maintains an extensive inventory of calibrated measuring devices, all traceable to National Standards. A routine schedule of inspection and recalibration is maintained for each device to ensure measurement integrity.

Macfab employs some of the leading measurement technologies. This includes computer enhanced microscopic measurement technology to visualize and quickly measure features down to a few thousandths of an inch with linear precision to 0.0001″ (0.0025mm)

Our measurement capabilities include an array of traditional measuring devices with precisions down to 0.0001″ (0.0025mm).

Quality System
Macfab’s quality system is ISO 9001:2000 registered to ensure continual improvement, current good manufacturing practices and customer satisfaction. Our system encompasses all aspects of our processes from quotation and raw material staging to in process inspections to quality components delivered to our customers.

Quotations: Macfab’s quality system begins at the quoting stage. All requests and engineering material received is reviewed by experienced staff. We work with our customers to ensure accurate, complete and timely quotations are offered.

First Article Inspection: Every dimension of the first part is checked and recorded on the First-Off report. This is to ensure that our customers receive parts made exactly to their specifications. A copy of the first article inspection report can be provided with shipments upon request.

In process Inspection: Inspections continue and are recorded throughout the manufacturing process. This not only occurs at the start of each operation but also periodically during the operation. We believe that it is crucial to produce parts as close to the target dimensions as practical.

Final Inspection: Just prior to carefully packaging components into boxes for shipment, we perform a final inspection. A random sample is pulled from the lot and thoroughly inspected and a Final Inspection report created. Dimensions are verified as are any required finishes, coatings and the overall appearance of the component.
