Silverware Washer This RFQ was sourced on www.MFG.com in USA for Product & Package Design This device would be a counter-top silverware washer - much like a traditional dishwasher in function, but used for washing only silverware. Like a dishwasher, the silverware is placed in a removeable basket - for cleaning, you load the basket in the device and close the lid. There will be a 3 part cleaning process - 1 soapy cleaning cycle and 2 rinse cycles. Water is stored in a reservoir (llike a coffee machine) and pumped into the housing for cleaning. One or more jets will agitate the water enough for thorough coverage of each utensil. A heating element will heat the water to a degree necessary for sanitation. Once each cycle is finished, the soiled water will automatically dispense through a tube (into the sink). Each cycle will begin automatically after the other using the water in the reservoir. More detailed description of the process is included in the technical drawings and patent info. Product & Package Design: Package design covers the manufacturing efficiency and feasability as it relates to the design of product packaging. It also takes into consideration the size and weight of the part, the need for protective packaging inserts, the need for water-proofing or corrosion resistance, and the decorative or aesthetic properties of the packaging required. Product design can be defined as the idea generation, concept development, testing and manufacturing or implementation of a product (physical object or service). Product Designers conceptualize and evaluate ideas, making them tangible through products in a more systematic approach. The role of a product designer encompasses many characteristics of the marketing manager, product manager, industrial designer and design engineer. The term is sometimes equated with industrial design.
