Stereolithography (SLA): Stereolithography is a rapid prototyping technique in which a work surface is set in liquid resin and a laser is passed over the work surface in a pattern that represents the cross section of the prototype. Wherever the laser touches the resin, it is instantly cured forming the solid shape. As the work surface descends further into the resin, the next cross section layer is built until the prototype is complete.
