Silk-Screen Printing: Silk screen printing, or silkscreening for short, is a process of applying inks, dyes or paints to a surface through a screen, usually made of nylon or polyester, mounted in a frame. The required design is produced photographically, like a film negative, on the screen. Emulsion forms the image on the screen leaving the screen porous under the design and creating a stencil around the design. Inks or paints are applied to the back of the screen and pressed over the screen with a rubber blade or squeegee so they pass through the screen in the exact pattern of the design.
