Welded Steel Cart
This item was sourced on www.MFG.com as one of the items in an RFQ in USA for Welding
Production of a steel cart. This light-duty welded cart is
mostly 1.5" square steel tube with a .095" wall. It is
approximately 32" tall. It is made in two sections that
will ultimately get BOLTED
together by the buyer (DO NOT WELD TOP ASSEMBLY TO BASE
ASSEMBLY). None of the welds are critical and they don’t
need to look real “pretty” (grinding is not necessary).
The steel type given on the drawings is not critical (use
what you are familiar with… it is just a
light-duty cart). The 1/2-13 weld nuts on the bottom can
be purchased from McMaster-Carr (93975A400), but any 1/2-
13 nut will work (just drill a clearance hole for the
caster stud to fit through.
Please don’t hesitate to call or email the buyer if the
supplier has any questions or comments. The buyer would
appreciate all suggestions which may improve the
manufacturability of this design. Part is being quoted in
multiple categories in order to find the most cost
effective method of manufacture.

Welding: Welded assembly service providers assemble metal structures by welding, as opposed to using fasteners. Welded assemblies are commonly required for water-tightness, such as tanks or containers, or anti-corrosion, such as frames or structures exposed to the environment.
