Stamped Metal

This item was sourced on www.MFG.com as one of the items in an RFQ in JAPAN for Punching

We need small holes stamped in 0.75mm thick (0.80mm is also acceptable) material. The reason I say metal or plastic is that both would potentially suit our needs. We need a material that is non-magnetic (e.g. 304 austenitic stainless steel) and also non electrically conductive (the metal would need to be given a dielectric coating after stamping - not necessarily by the stamping supplier, but this would be an advantage).

We need to know the tolerances for the size of the holes and the positioning of these holes. Production of a Stamped Metal (Punching). Approximately 212.0 mm x 25.0 mm x 0.75 mm. Please see drawing for all specifications.

Punching: Punching is a fabricating process in which a steel tool, called a punch, is forced into sheet metal, forcing it to compress or release into a bottom die. Forming punches compress the sheet metal into the shape of the bottom die to create the desired contour. Hole, slot and notch punches are used to cut holes in sheet metal by shearing the metal into a hollow die, where the excess metal drops to the bottom and is collected.
