72 Lid
Revolved surface with supporting ribs at base of lid. Clamp ring at base of lid and threaded hole at top/center of lid. Approx dimensions: 31.5 tall, base dia 21. Similar parts are filled at threaded location at top of part, needs air and stripper plate to extract from mold tool. Internal estimate is for 1200 ton press, 118" clamp open, 341.5" to mold part.
Please quote spiral wound internal core cooling, it provides better cycle times and helps maintain part roundness.
Current part is drilled and tapped by molder. I would like to explore option of molded threads.
Thread geometry may change in future, and sealing surface in Detail B & C may also change. Suggest incorporating into stripper ring for easier future revision?
