Rolled buttress threads - ANSI or other. 1-1/4x10 or 12 tpi.
The buyer is looking for threaded rod w/ ROLLED BUTTRESS
threads. Cut or ground threads will not
work. Buttress thread rolling dies are very rare and
therefore the buyer has a range on the spec they’d
like - the threads can be ANSI 7/45 degree or other
similar buttress form (they will match inner
threads on our mating piece!). Nominal outer diameter is
1.25". The buyer is interested in any
threading pitch between 9 and 13 tpi. They are looking for
about 10 feet of threaded rod in total in one length, or
in multiple pieces as short as 8". Material must be 4140.
No heat treat is required as they will be doing more
machining to the rod. Part is being quote in multiple
categories in order to find the most cost effective method
of manufacture.
