Instrument Trim Bezel
Part is machined from round 6061 aluminum stock with an OD
of approximately 60 mm and
an ID of 45.5 mm. All dimensions are in mm for both file
formats. The tightest tolerance is +-
0.3mm or ~ 0.010" unless otherwise noted.
This part is for a new line of instrumentation products
that we will be offering. In particular,
this will be the trim ring on the face of the instrument.
To get a good mental image of the
product, think about an AutoMeter water temp instrument
pod for a physical package shape.
This part will be machined from 6061 aluminum. If a
supplier can spec an alternate grade of
aluminum that may save cost, but not decrease product
quality (porosity, etc?), we would
be very receptive to discussion. This particular part is
not under high stress, but does hold
the finished product together.
We are interested in having this quoted with two different
surface finishes;
1) Pure machined finish & clear anodize finish
2) Polished exterior (visible portion after assembly) &
clear anodize finish
please include anodized finish in piece price quotation
with amortization.
The inside threads should be machined to mate to an
M52x1.0 thread pitch. We did our best
to represent this in the igs file that is submitted with
this RFQ, however it may differ slightly
from what is actually required to mate to that particular
thread.
Assuming this part is machined using CNC tools, please
list machine setup & programing
costs separate from piece price. We are unsure of
potential volume, and are hoping for a
decent ramp-up in production volume over the next few
years. Please indicate batch
pricing, etc so that we may be able to forcast production
plans more effectively.
