King Pin Lock
Production of a king pin lock. Approximately 6.5" OD x
3.5" long. A conical part forged from 1018 steel. Case
Hardened approx 1/8 inch by carburizing.
Tightest tolerance is +/- .004" Rounds and Draft angles
may be slightly altered for generous tooling. Center hole
impression, then machine through is suggested.
Please include chrome finish and hole machining in quote.
The part is an anti-theft device for 18-wheeler trailers.
It will cover the king pin to avoid other trucks to hook
on to the trailer when left unattended.
