Model #1
Several parts need to be molded and made ready
for final assembly. Together, these parts construct a 12’
wingspan model airplane.
Currently being built from fiberglass in house. Our
problem is labor involved in making the plug and patterns.
We are open to suggestions for manufacturing and will
entertain injection, rotational, thermal etc molding or
forming techniques. Average wall thickness we currently
being built is near a 1/4". We would anticipate a molding
design to be 1/8 to 1/4".
The current design uses a top 1/2, bottom half that
clamshells together.
Project will include manufacture of wingspan and fuselage.
Project could include foam core or other structural design
characteristics. A metal rod or equiv will be needed to
mount the engine. Engine is a 2 stroke gas engine weighing
6 or 7 lbs.
Material to be chosen is only significant to a one flight
operation. Unit will last only one cycle.
We will install all electrical or avionic equipment and
components after cores are delivered.
