Modified C Channel
This channel is an edging piece, used to close out panel
edges and provide a bonding surface.
Approx size 3/4" wide x 5/8" high 3/8" wide inside channel.
We are flexible as to the material. The material should
have decent mechanical properties
in terms of tensile and implact resistance, should be able
to operate up to 170 F without
getting too brittle at cold temps.
The material needs to have a little flexibility to curve
around a gentle radius (about a
3 foot radius).
Nylon or UHMW would be perfect, but they do not work with
our adhesive. PVC has worked
but does not have a high enough working temp. ABS may
work, but we don’t know about the
temp range. Acrylic or polycarbonate are possibilities.
The material will not see any UV, but may have occasional
exposure to gasoline and water.
We are open to any and all suggestions.
