Equipment Tag
Production of Equipment and Conduit Tags for Solar Electric System Components. Color for all equipment tags shall be a background of orange and a letter color of black. All equipment tags shall be constructed of two-ply laminated plastic approximately 1” x 2 1/2” x 1/16” thick. Tags must be UV rated for outdoor use. Equipment tags shall be fastened by waterproof adhesive. Tags shall bear Tag Number only. The format of each equipment tag shall be as follows (see attached table for full isting)(LOC-SYS-EQP-ID-MOD)
Example: (190-EPG-BKR-001-M) for 480 Volt Main Circuit Breaker No.1
Conduit tags shall be aluminum rectangles with rounded edges, 2” x 1/2”. Conduit tags shall have two holes cut on each end in order to attach tag to conduit with metal band (See attached photo). Conduit tags shall be labeled “CT 001,” “CT 002,” and so on. Provide tag attachments for conduit tags. Fasteners for conduit tags shall be aluminum ¼” wide and as long as is needed to wrap around conduit (See attached conduit schedule). Please see attachments for specific details.
