About Twin City Mold Engineering

Twin City Mold Engineering was established in 1968. We cast aluminum and zinc metal and injection mold various types of plastics, including all thermoplastic resins. From the most simplistic to the most complex parts, Twin City Mold Engineering is able to provide high quality aluminum and zinc castings for our current customers and for future customers. We have the capabilities of manufacturing custom tools for both die casting and injection molding. We hold tolerances required and specified by our customers using industry standards. Types of products produced: Die cast toys, insulators, gaskets and grommets, housings and hardware, brackets and hinges, vending machine parts, covers and nameplates, decorative castings, electronic enclosures, gears and industrial parts, containers and cases, medical products, agricultural products, fire truck accessories, computer cases, and recreation equipment. Capabilities: We currently have two zinc and two aluminum die casting machines. Casting capability of our machines range from under an ounce up to four pounds. Twin City Mold Engineering can furnish quality parts based upon the following characteristics: *Die Design *High tolerances *Repeatability *Short or long production die casting Equipment List *400 Ton B & T Die Caster – Zinc, Hot Chamber *400 Ton Harvell Die Caster – Zinc, Hot Chamber *400 Ton Lester Die Caster – Aluminum, Cold Chamber *600 To n Lester Die Caster – Aluminum, Cold Chamber Twin City Mold Engineering has the capacity to mold various types of plastics. These plastics include: *ABS *Acrylics *Delrin *Nylon *Polycarbonate *Polyethylene *Polypropylene *Polysulphone *Styrene *HIPS *TPR (Thermoplastic Resins) We carry in our inventory a variety of plastics to take advantage of pricing, in which we pass the savings on to our customer. We have the capability to mold from under an ounce up to a 32 ounce shot size in our machines. Molding capacity of 1 ounce to 4 pounds in zinc and aluminum. Our machines range from 75 tons up to 400 tons. Injection Molding Equipment: *75 Ton Battenfeild, 18” X 12” Die Bed, shot size 1.5 oz *125 Ton HPM, 23.5” X 15 “ Die Bed, shot size 6.0 oz *200 Ton HPM, 24” X 18” Die Bed, shot size 12 oz *400 Ton Reed, 34” x 21” Die Bed, shot size 28 oz Tooling capabilities include:CNC machining, EDM, milling, polishing, turning, assembly, and grinding. Secondary operations include: trim presses, abrasive belt deburring, drilling and tapping, vibratory deburring and riveting.
