Wi-PU
Electronic assembly of a Wi-PU. Please contact the buyer
for drawing and specifications of electronic assembly. The
buyer is seeking one
or more best-in-class suppliers for the assembly and final
test of
their Wi-PU product. Suppliers are asked to bid on two
arrangements being considered:
1. The buyer provides all material necessary to
assemble the Wi-PUs. Material
would be pre-inspected, packaged and shipped to supplier
in kits. Each kit would include all
required material to assemble one (1) Wi-PU.
2. The buyer provides all material necessary to
assemble the Wi-PUs on
consignment. Material would be drop shipped to supplier.
Supplier would be responsible
for inventory and materials management throughout the
assembly process from incoming
inspection of material received, to delivery of finished
product.
The Wi-PU is the platform for all of the buyer's and thus
this RFP will be awarded to
one or more suppliers who will serve as the manufacturer
over the product lifetime (not just
for the current 180 unit contract).
