Tapered Screw
Buyer is presently using a process called Apticoat 450,
combination of nickel Teflon. This
process is used on tapered screws to expand a mandrel.
This produces high friction and
force, which needs to be able to withstand hundreds of
cycles. There are (8) different screw sizes ranging from
2-56 to 5/8-11. The attachments included are three of the
screw sizes that need to be coated. Buyer normally send
out 200 -
400 of several sizes totaling
about 1200 pieces per purchase order. Buyer's present
supplier
just raised the prices forcing
buyer to look else where.
