Production of a pawl. The casting process that is used on
all the parts is the “lost wax” process the material is
316S11 stainless steel,(ANC4) 50% Min, virgin material
permissible to BS3146 Pt 2. The castings themselves are
safety critical parts hence have to undergo an X-ray & dye
test penetration test to the standard supplied. The
standard
to be applied to each is
grade C on the X ray (radiographic discontinuity levels) &
Grade B on the Surface Defect levels (Dye pen standard)
