Production of a dental piezoelectric scaler circuit
design.
Dental piezoelectric scaler needs a printed circuit board
to
energize one stack of four piezoelectric disc crystals. The
power setting must be adjustable (potentiometer). The power
supply input for the first model is 110 VAC, 60 Hz. The
power supply input for the second model is 230 VAC, 50 Hz.
It is acceptable to specify a standard wall adapter. It
must
have an on/off switch. It must turn on a 5 VDC, 0.88 A
irrigation valve when the tip is in operation. The unit
must
supply constant power to the scaling tip, so the circuit
must respond dynamically to loads. The board must be 10
cm^2
or less. Two prototyped printed circuit boards must be
delivered. They must match or exceed the excitation
voltages
and currents of competing piezoelectric scaler
manufacturers. Specific crystal specifications will be
provided prior to beginning the circuit design phase.
