Preheating Coil
Tube coils to be fabricated using buyer supplied Fecralloy
tubing, 12.7mm OD 0.8mm wall
thickness.
Tubing may be substituted in future RFQ revision for 15mm
OD 1mm wall thickness depending on tubing
availability.
Fecralloy is an Iron-Chromium-aluminum alloy for use in
high temperature applications. Local
preheating of tubing to approximately 200°C required
during bending to prevent cracking of
tubing due to material brittleness. GTAW welding
technique using buyer supplied Fecralloy
filler wire required to weld together sections of tubing
required.
Tubing coils are for a high temperature gas preheating
application (1000°C)
