RFQ Notes:
The part being sourced is a aluminum casting for a new product line the buyer's company has developed. Prototypes have already been built and approved. They are wanting to build addition prototypes for the 2010 Neocon show.
Buyer prefers a vendor who can supply the parts cast, machined, and pre-finished (tumble beburr) at a minimum. If the vendor can supply the parts finished (powder coated) also, that would be a plus.
Because of the estimated annnual usage, the buyer is approaching the part as an sand casting. They are willing to review die castings quotes if the cost of the machining to the sand casting is in the ballpark.
The part has three surfaces that require no draft. This is required so the mating extruded parts will be perpendicular to each other. (See the supplied rendering) If draft is required the surfaces must be machined by the vendor. Type general notes (Limit 75 words).
