First Stage Pinion
Fabrication of a spur gear. Part of a large gearbox for an
industrial centrifuge. 48 tooth, 20 deg. 8" pitch
diameter X 4" wide gear. O’all length of shaft is 11.3"
External keyway on one end. 3 1/4" blind tapped holes in
one end. 11/16" dia. hole thru center of
part. /32 finish on gear teath. Some 4 decimal tolerances
and runouts. Gear teeth to be
carburized, hardened, and tempered as
per specs on drawing. Please see drawing for
specifications.
Material shown is STEEL HOT WORKED ALLOY BAR TO ASTM
SPECIFICATION A322
GRADE 4320 ALTERNATE GRADE 9310. Please indicate the
material you want to use in the
