Production of a forging. Please see drawing for specific
dimensions. The forging of a component used in cotton
equipment. This part has been run by the same
forging house for the past ten years. This part and the
sister parts open for quote as well,
have had an average annual usage of 6000 to 8500 pcs
total. The current suppliers quality
has become unacceptable as well as deliveries running as
much as 3 months late.
Straightness and flatness are critical with this job.
Parts are finished to size on a CNC
Machine. Parts must arrive flat within .030 and straight
within .050. First article samples must
supplied prior to every production run. Same supplier must
quote all three parts and will be
awarded all three. Please see RFQs 56415 and 56421 for
other parts. Parts must be shot peened to remove
scale.
