Concept3-low-watt
Injection molding of a housing. Please see drawings for
specific dimensions. Buyer has a requirement for about 150
injected molded parts made in ABS+PC blend. These are for
prototype testing only and hence the volume is just 150
parts. Buyer is typically looking for someone who is good
at rapid tooling or bridge tooling.
As these parts will be undergoing environmental tests at
our facility, buyer would like to use a material that is
as close to the final product as possible. One recommended
material is GE CYCOLOY CH6410. Supplier is welcome to use
an equivalent grade of material.
If possible, please quote for two different materials - 1)
ABS+PC blend 2) PC ??
Buyer is looking at 2-3 weeks turn around (max) for this
job since they would need to start reliability testing
after that.
The parts are very simple and there is a side-core action
involved because we have cut two holes (one on each side
of the housing) for wire lead-out. Attached are the IGES
files of the housing buyer wants to use - One top cover
and one bottom cover make up the housing.
I would also like to get a sample part or two to check the
fitment etc (and verify our design
because the PCB size is determined by the housing) before
you start producing the
remaining 150 odd parts. Would that be feasible?
