48DP Acetal Worm
Production of a worm. Approximately 0.375" OD x 0.750" long. Please see drawing for dimension specifications. This worm is for a gear set for a product under development. Please see other RFQ (RFQ# 98695) if you'd like to bid on the Aluminum Worm Gear as well. Initial quantity is 1, then 8 units immediately after that, then growing to 100-200/year and up.
Buyer can provide the HPV13 material if needed. It is a PTFE-filled acetal and is commonly used as a lower cost alternative to Delrin AF. More info here: http://www.plasticsintl.com/datasheets/1816437311HPV_13.pdf .
Buyer would like to avoid custom tooling costs, so if a slight change to these specs means that supplier can use existing tooling, please advise.
