Walter Tool provides precision CNC machining services to industry since 1977. We currently have an inspection system traceable to NIST and are working towards ISO certification. Our machining capabilities include CNC Turning up to 8-axis, CNC Swiss type Turning up to 6-axis, CNC Horizontal machining up to 3-axis and CNC Vertical machining up to 4-axis. We specialize in short runs and production runs with many operations and close tolerance machining. CNC Turning Our CNC lathes our equipped with 4 to 8 axis and live tools. Bar capacity is 2.5” Chucking capacity is 8” with a maximum turning length of 22” between centers. Multi-sided machining can be completed in a single setup reducing handing costs. Parts with close relational tolerances will benefit from fewer setups.
CNC Swiss-Style Turning:
Our Swiss-style CNC lathes our equipped with 3 to 10 axis and live tools. Bar capacity is 1.25” Multi-sided machining can be completed in a single setup reducing handing costs. Parts with close relational tolerances will benefit from fewer setups. We are suited for both short and long length parts.
CNC Horizontal Milling:
3 axis CNC horizontal machining. Dual 1° indexing pallets for continuous operation. Machining capacity is a 20” cube. Multi-sided machining can be completed in a single setup reducing handing costs. Parts with close relational tolerances will benefit from fewer setups.
CNC Vertical Milling:
3 to 4 axis CNC vertical machining. Dual pallets for continuous operation or standard table for shorter runs. Machining travels up to 30” x 18” x 18” Tool magazine capacities up to 30 tools. Rotary 4th axis for multi-sided machining or special contours.

Additional services we have in-house are induction heating (for tempering, hardening and brazing) and laser marking.
