Established in 2000, REM Masini Unelte quickly became the no.1 Romanian Machine Tools Manufacturer. Our company is privately owned with 100% Romanian capital, top provider of machine tools and performance solutions for the metal working industry around the world.

The team made up of 100 employees is structured in 6 departments: Mechanical design, Mechanics, Electric, electronic & software, Sales, Quality Control and Support & Services.

Machine Tools Division has a key role in our company and we consider it one of the most important. The extended knowledge of our specialists and the continuous acquiring of new technology help us build extremely reliable and high quality products. Our heavy machine tools, including the vertical turning lathes, execute specific operations like turning and milling.
Cutting & Welding Division
The Cutting & Welding Division is equipped with high performance machines and the latest technology in the field. This assures a high flexibility in the production process, giving the possibility to build welded structures without being necessary to mechanically machine the components.
Machining Division
The Machining Division is an industrial contractor which utilizes precision CNC machining to supply quality for various industries. We can machine prismatic and revolution pieces like beds, columns, cases, saddles, rams and bearings.
Foundry Division
The Foundry Division is specialized in producing cast iron and nodular cast iron parts with a maximum gross weight of 50 tons at a final estimated capacity of 600 tons per month.
Capabilities
REM Machine Tools is specialized in vertical turning lathes. The REM Vertical are designed for a high machining accuracy, a very good rigidity and stability, in conditions of heavy machining of metal, including asymmetrical pieces.
Our company uses a personalized ERP software solution and design specialists work with tools such as Solidworks, Eplan and Visio because we also attribute great importance to the software used in creating our products.

The efficiency of a production system also depends on the efficiency with which machining conditions are re-established in the event of a fault. Teleservice, the service provided by REM for its machine tools, is especially intended to minimize machine tool down-time owing to malfunctioning. The service applies to the vertical lathes and other heavy machine tools like horizontal boring mills and many others. Teleservice is a link between the REM field service and the customers numerical control installed on the machine. The link may be supported by different media, for example modem, router, normal telephone lines, ISDN lines, etc.
