Chatsworth Ca. In 1988, two brothers started a machine shop in the San Fernando Valley with a conventional lathe and mill.  This soon expanded into a 20,000 square foot building with state of the art single and multi axes computer controlled machinery.  14 years later – Hobby becomes creative work.  In 1999 they began the work of designing Avet reels. In January 2002, Avet Reels introduced a new line of saltwater reels destined to revolutionize the conventional reel market. 

Avet Reels are currently offered in a durable type 2 anodizing and are available in silver, gold, metallic grav. And navy blue finishes.  Avet reels also come standard with a rod clamp that attaches even when the spool is full of line.
