The Capelletti workshop has been present on the territory since 1977, when it appeared, bringing the name of its founder, as Capelletti Giancarlo Officina Meccanica.
During the first years, the owner – with few workers and some little lathes – gets specialized in the processing of hubs. The first step of growing goes on in coincidence with the request of these kinds of products: hubs, flanges and components for agricultural axles.
A further moment of development for the workshop – that now sees its staff increasing from ten units to fifteen employees – comes with the introduction of new machine tools in the cycle of production, in order to execute turning and drilling of industrial bearings.
The firm becomes a commercial partnership in 2007, with the taking part in the company by the mechanical engineer Mr. Oscar Capelletti, the owner’s son, graduated in 2003 at the Università degli Studi di Brescia, and yet working in the firm since then.
The Capelletti Officina s.n.c. keeps in respect the consolidate way – handed down by the founder – about relationships with customers and suppliers, reliability about consignments, guaranteed quality of products, and sets itself with a new ambition, to bring the University near the world of work. In fact, Mr. Capelletti co-operates since his graduation with the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Brescia, offering his competence for the course of Mechanical Design.
In anticipation of a future development of the market, the recent policy of the company was an investment in new machine tools; in particular, new lathes have been bought, in order to work big diameters (up to 2 m).
At the moment, the workshop boast of a chosen and specialized staff; the relationship with some of its workers got strengthened through more than twenty years and the hirings in last years introduced highly specialized members, who are able to autonomously manage the programming of numerical control machines.
The technical office offers qualified competences about both two-dimensional and three-dimensional design softwares.
